Veterans and Employment

The recession has hit everyone hard.  But Iraq and Afganistan Veterans have been hit especially hard.  These vets face unemployment rates of 11.5% (June 2010), well above the national average.

However, there are resources for veterans and their families as well as companies interested in hiring veterans:

U.S. Department of Labor

Employer Partnership

Vet Jobs

USA Jobs

Feds Hire Vets

Helmets to HardHats

CSX Railroads

And if your company has a job available and is interested in hiring veterans.  This website would be more than happy to post the position here as a service to those who served.
